What happens when you cross five girls with safety glasses, wading boots, hammers, nails, scrap wood, rope, and plenty of time and energy to spare? I'll tell you... one AMAZING bridge that secures the gap between home and wilderness. It's such an amazing bridge that deer may even consider using it.
Despite the sub-zero temperatures, the stinch of the mud, and lack of sufficient muscles, us gals managed to construct that which seemed unconstructable. We grinned and bared the labor bestowed upon us to take on such a challenge. Three hours later we were finally able to trek safely from my backyard to the enchanted forest that lay beyond the once impassable canal. Although we still have some work left to do to successfully make it all the way to the Kitty Hawk Nature Conservancy Trail, be sure of this... what man cannot do, wo-man can!
Stay tuned, there will be much more to come...
