spring photos

after much patience (kinda patient) and suffering, we finally got a new camera charger. i'm so excited. i forgot how much i love to take pictures even though i'm by no means a photographer.

here are some quick spring photos from around our house. the dogwood tree above is my favorite because it makes me think of my granny and grandaddy, and the blooms are our NC state flower! we planted it soon after we moved in.


when the tree below starts to show its leaves, i know spring is here and summer is not far away. it is the very last tree to sprout new growth. every day i literally wake up, grab my coffee and walk out on the porch to see if any leaves have popped out... and they finally did this week!
here's a shot of my studio "the mud room" (which is now a blog for customers). i actually have a few orders/requests i'm working on. pretty stoked!

gardenias are another favorite of mine. their smell is so captivating. they should be blooming soon. and creeping up behind is hank-freeman. i'm so proud of this lil' hunter. he kills something every day and brings it home.
look at that prowler. he's such a stud. i think he has several babes he hangs out with... don't worry, he's neutered.
mr. sebi is my best bud. he's been a faithful friend for eleven years. he really loves me too much. some probably would say i love him too much, maybe more than jesse ha ha.
