Sadly, in a few short days, my wonderful and talented brother, Chad, and his beautiful and amazing wife, April, will be packing their things on the Outer Banks and heading off to the land of lush forests and babbling brooks in Boone, NC. You may ask yourself "why Boone?". Besides the breathtaking sites of the Blueridge Parkway and Appalachian mountains, the always-icy slopes of Sugar, and the great fishing and hunting... Chad has been blessed with a great opportunity as a professor of architecture at Appalachian State University.

The above photos are just a few moments captured on camera at the Going Away Bash given by the lovely Sue Culpepper, Courtney Chercka, and Brooke Erickson. Stories were told, memories were shared, and delicious food was consumed. It was a bittersweet gathering as were happy for them, yet sad, to see them leave us!
