First, I want to say that Jesse made it home safely and in one piece from Yemen!!! Thank you God! In the next few days I'll have him put some photos on here of his journey and include some stories for your entertainment. Thanks to all of you who prayed for his safety... apparently it was much needed! The Lord is so good, and totally did great things on Jesse's bizarre adventure in the middle east. But I'll wait and let him tell you the juicy stuff. You should know, however, that he did wear a turban and dress the whole time and brought me a turban home too.
Next, you'll find some new updated photos of our future residence. We are anticipating only one week, maybe a little more, until final departure from our cozy little rental house in Kill Devil Hills. Then we will be loading up the pick-up truck... we'll cruise up the bypass about four miles with our mattresses tied to the top and then settle into our giant "barn" in the lush green woods of Kitty Hawk. An extreme shindig is in the works... I'll keep you all posted on the party date soon.
Before I hit the hay, let me explain the guitar you see below. While Jesse was away hiking across deserts in fifty mile an hour winds, I had his buddy Brent McCoy (a.k.a. Pepe) paint a special lil' something. You see, when we began building our house, Jesse insisted that he be given his own special room that he could do whatever he wanted to it. "I'm going to paint it all black, hang up whatever I want, and you can't decorate it. It's my room." Those were the words of my cute husband who has been so wonderful as to let me pick out everything I wanted for our house. I felt he was right... so he got his own closet as his "special room". Being that I am impatient, a "whirlwind", and wanted to surprise him with something after his long, arduous trek around the world, I thought he would love to see his guitar and dark grey walls with red trim when he walked into his "room". Brent (with Kim Diggs' help) painted the guitar in one day and I did the walls and trim the following day. I think it turned out real nice, and he loves it. So in case you couldn't tell what was going on with the creepy guitar with wings, now you know.
Let it be known that our address has officially changed at the post office... but now that I think about it, it's probably not a good idea to put the actual address on here. I'm not trying to get my identity stolen (Kim Stratman knows what I'm talkin' about). Just give me a call or look for an e-mail in the future.
Until next time... We love you all! And don't make fun of Sebi because he has to wear a headband to keep from scratching more fur and skin off of his ears. He's sensitive about his looks.
