It is now 10:03 pm and I have just spoken with Chad and April to confirm that they have arrived safely to their house of new beginnings in Boone... as I scrolled through my photos to create a farewell post on our blog to my brother and his wife, I couldn't help but be captivated by one of God's greatest gifts- pets! Surely cats are one of the smartest creatures alive. Dogs are great too, don't get me wrong (we have two of them), however, cats avoid standing up, sitting down, and following their masters around until they get yelled at. Cats eat, find a relaxing spot, take many naps, stare, give spiteful looks and as Jack from "Meet the Parents" would say "make you work for their affection". Yesterday as Chad, April and myself packed, loaded the truck and cleaned every crevice in their house, Willie (AKA Willie Gandolf the Grey) found it amusing to lay in the middle of the floor, on Dixie's bed, and refused to move. Generally that wouldn't be a big deal, but on this day as we were trying to get the Everharts on their way to the moutains, he made it clear he wasn't going to relocate so that we could easily carry boxes and sweep the house. To his advantage, as you can see in the picture, he is such a charming and handsome little ball of cuteness, we couldn't possibly make him get up. I must admit I'm a sucker for animals. Chad and April know they will be missed greatly, but it is safe to say that Dixie and Sir Willie will be missed as well. WE LOVE YOU GUYS! May the Lord bless you on this exciting adventure!
