That's a Negative

After an 18ft elevator drop from this wave at the infamous "Bonzai Pipeline"... the answer is no. My precious Jesse didn't quite pull off this amazing feat, rather lost his feet, while plummetting below the raging waters and battling the coral reef awaiting to take it's prey. We have a great sequence of photos that captures this breathtaking and horrific moment (I was crying), however, legally I am unable to publish them at this time... Hopefully you can imagine what happens next with this one single picture. What a brave man!!

Jesse made it through two very intense rounds of the Billabong Pipeline Pro contest located on the North Shore of Oahu. He even received one of the top-scoring waves of the entire contest... a whopping 9.25 (I think it shoud have been much higher). Unfortunately there are no photos of that wave, but you can watch the heat video on the website. Us North Carolinians and fellow East Coasters are so proud and hope that he goes ahead and wins it next year!
