canoeing with bott

as many of you know, canoeing is my new favorite sport. while my obx/danish friend, courtney (bott), is in town i decided a canoeing journey would be an ideal outdoor winter activity. we paddled out to the sound, and on the way back it started to rain so we took a detour to the local marina. "dock of the bay" and the folks who work there saved the day when they loaded up the "discovery" into the back of their boat on a trailer and then took us home. it's a great way to meet new people when the weather changes and the canoe breaks down. north carolinians are the best people on the planet!

also, jesse and i will be heading down to myrtle beach and wilmington for the next few days, so ..MERRY CHRISTMAS! we pray that everyone has a wonderful week and remembers the reason for the season...
